Replicable Solutions Working at Scale

Faecal Sludge is one of the biggest problems in developing countries. The urban environment ends up awash in untreated human waste, with severe public health and environmental consequences, not only for those with inadequate sanitation, but for everyone else too.

One of the goals of FSM3 is bringing together donors, investors, city/utility managers, consultants, government/policy makers and relevant industry representatives how they can accelerate and support the implementation of replicable solutions already working at scale.

Participants will help a special FSM3 working group to select tools, technologies and business approaches that work at scale, but yet not being replicated. In addition to the selection of case studies, examples of cities already planning for FSM, governments developing key policies, etc.

The outcome of the sessions should be concise guidelines for producing readily usable materials by the FSM3 participants and a list of cities, donors, industries, organisations that will actively help cities planning for FSM.
